Wellness
Connections was founded in May 2001 in Fresno, Calif., by a
small group of concerned citizens who were committed to
wellness in their own lives and bringing its benefits to
more people in the Valley.
It has been
led by the guiding vision of Executive Director Faye Saxton,
supported by very dedicated Council members. Current Council
members include: Doug Griffith (First Class Limousine &
Nikken Distributors); Jerry Kossack (Certified Nutrition Counselor);
and Sherrie Olp (owner of Go Natural Wellness Center).
The group has published a Wellness Resources Directory
annually for five years, and sponsors a Wellness Fair, now
in its fourth year, held at the end of January. The group also
promotes educational events, and is now launching the
World of Wellness magazine in 2007.
The Vision of Wellness Connections is to create
optimal health and wellness of mind, body, and spirit for
all people of the Central Valley.
The Mission is to promote wellness for every
individual in the Central Valley through a connected
community of health care providers who educate people about
wellness -- what it is, methods to use, and practitioners
who specialize in it.
Membership in Wellness Connections
is available for $60 a year.

The purpose of World of
Wellness magazine is to be a voice to promote
balanced living in Central California by educating the
community about healthy options for mind, body, spirit, and
environment, and building awareness of the holistic
businesses who offer these services locally.
Our current staff includes:
Publisher: Mike Neer
(He is the owner of Veda Publishing Co., which has
published magazines, books, directories, and newsletters for
more than 20 years. He is a Founding Member of Wellness
Connections, and has taught meditation for 25 years, and
given seminars on stress relief, natural health care, and
creativity.)
Editor: Jo Ridgway
(She is a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist, Reiki Master,
EFT practitioner, Feng Shui consultant. She offers classes
to balance your life on the topics of weight loss,
stop smoking, junk-free living, debt-free living, and non-toxic living. She also is a Founding
Member of Wellness Connections, and continues to learn the latest information on health and related topics
by attending conventions, researching books, and personally
experiencing various modalities of healing.)
Advertising Sales: Alan Kandel
(He has a wide range of professional experience in
advertising sales in the Central Valley with publications
such as the Clipper, Family Savings,
and Fresno Magazine.)
Creative Consultant: Faye Saxton
(She is the Executive Director of Wellness Connections who
guides the vision of the publication. She also owns Choice
Massage Network and State of the Art Business Services. Her
natural healing affinity is through music.)
